Alpha League Origins: Jade Cat
Six years ago, a young 10 year old girl named Jacqueline Walsh got lost in the Acadian Forest near Nova Scotia. She fell down a pit and couldn't climb out. She noticed a little necklace in the pit with her. The locket on it was glowing a golden light. She put it around her neck and she felt her whole body go through a surge. She then realized her nails grew sharper, whiskers growing from her cheeks. She managed to use her new claws to climb out of the pit and return to the camp she was looking for in the first place, and pocketed the necklace in case she needed it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Present day, Jacqueline was in high school and barely talked to anyone. She was antisocial in person, she didn't fit in with people her age. She was an artist as a hobby, and often drew things that brought her happiness. Nature, animals, but recently she took to commissions. She didn't need the money, but thought perhaps her skill was worth it. She

A young Canadian 16 year old by the name of David Hill, comic book fanatic and amateur scientist, was scrolling through his DeviantArt feed, when he saw an awesome drawing someone made of a superhero OC. He favorited the post and left a comment. "Awesome OC. Very Marvel-esque which I can appreciate. I'm a huge Spider-Man fan." He left the comment and decided to close his laptop and return his efforts to his current experiment. He was modifying a bo staff to act as a faux grappling hook. This would allow him to cling to, and swing from buildings in his home province of Quebec, much like Spider-Man web swinging. -------------------------------------------------------- The next day, David met up with an old friend Nathaniel Davis, fellow scientist in training and high school friend, to complete this shared project. The bo staff was David's part, and Nathaniel was here to bring his part. "Alright, I hope last nights hard work was worth it." Nathaniel said. Nathaniel presented David's
It was an average day at the local arcade in New York. A group of youngsters were having fun playing various games. Jubilee was playing Galaga, Kitty Pryde and Rogue were killing it at DDR, and Tucker Bogan was shooting outlaws in Mad Dog McCree. Jacob simply hung out, not wanting to short out any of the machines. By the end of the day, the group accumulated enough tickets to get the collectible they were all eyeing for weeks. Tucker goes to present the tickets to the man at the desk. "One 'Master of the Universe' Champion belt, please." He said. As the group walked back to the mansion, they marveled at their prize. It took a while to finally achieve it, but it was worth it. "It's so much cooler up close. So which one of us keeps it?" Jubilee asks. "We share it. Seems fair since we all worked together to get it." Rogue said. "Sounds fair to me." Kitty said. "You guys can share it, I didn't exactly contribute to getting the champion belt." Jacob said. Kitty hugged him. "But
The Alternate Doctor had landed once again with no control. The TARDIS didn’t often fight back on his set course unless it was necessary. He stepped out and saw he was in the middle of a war zone. “Bloody hell… where have you put me this time?” He asked. He checked his navigation screen, and his eyes widened at what he saw. “Germany, 1948?! Are you mad?! You placed me in the middle of World War II!” He ventured out, trying not to attract attention. He made his way through a field, trying to keep his head low. Out of nowhere someone dragged him down to the ground. It was a British Soldier, judging by the uniform the man wore. He looked pretty young to be fighting in the military. Bizarrely enough, there was something about this man that seemed eerily familiar to the Doctor. “Keep your head down lad. These animals are likely to blow it off.” The soldier said. “Right… um… where are you headed? Perhaps I can help you get there.” The Doctor offered. “In another

(For context, this takes place in a split timeline where the 12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi) passed through a Time Storm mid-regeneration and his appearance was altered, hence why I refer to this Doctor as the Alternate Doctor. You're about to meet him and his companion) It was an average day at the gym in Cardiff. The palates instructor Janice Hamon was preparing for another class, when suddenly she heard a familiar whirring sound outside. She saw the TARDIS materialize outside. She quickly ran out to greet the Doctor. She entered the TARDIS, giddy to see what he had in store. "So, what have you got planned for me today, Doctor?" Janice asked. "Oh wait till you see what I've found Janice. A planet consisted completely of clouds. It's absolutely brilliant, a species lighter than a earth bird feather." Janice giggled at his excitement as he prepared the TARDIS for launch. "You're gonna love it." The Doctor said. They soon landed, but with quite a ruckus going on outside. The Doctor

Alpha League Origins: The Phantoms
A young, orphaned billionaire who owns a namesake corporation and lives alone in a luxurious mansion. One might think of Tony Stark or Bruce Wayne, but the truth is stranger than fiction. Instead of a gloomy northeast city or a bright Florida beach, our story starts in the chilly north: Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the home of Kavanagh International, a massive, private company with metaphorical fingers in many pies. For the last six years, Austin Kavanagh has owned the corporation, though he is still too young to chair the board. Unlike his comic book counterparts, Austin is a short, skinny, strawberry blond with pale blue eyes behind black rectangular glasses. At sixteen years old, he is a shy, depressed, and reclusive genius with a fondness for technology. Most of his days are spent hidden at the historic Kavanagh Manor in the woods north of the city. Along with a small cleaning staff, he is kept company by Alfred, a state-of-the-art A.I. assistant of his own geeky

Meilin Green smiled as she walked out of her Trigonometry class one afternoon. Weaving her way through the throng of students, she spotted the curly golden hair of the student she wanted to talk to. Sean Casey, the new kid from Cape Breton Island. He had the most calming blue-green eyes and a soft, almost musical voice. Meilin walked over to Sean and cleared her throat. “Hi! I’m Meilin Green. You can call me Mei. Mr. Keislowski said you needed an Algebra tutor. I took his class last year, so I can be of help.” Sean looked at the half-Chinese girl with those handsome eyes. “Aren’t you the Trig prodigy he likes to brag about? The one he calls enterprising yet mildly annoying?” Mei beamed. “I accept and embrace all labels. So, how about it?” Sean thought it over. “Well, if you’re offering.” “Great! Wanna meet in front of the school after class? We can go to Trinity Bellwoods and study there. I like being surrounded by nature.” “Hey, me too,” Sean smiled warmly. “After

Meilin Green took a deep breath as she walked through the front door of Northern Secondary School. “Here we go, Green. Keep your cool,” she whispered. As she walked through the halls, she spotted her best friend since childhood, Miriam Whitehead standing by her locker alongside Sean Casey. Sean was talking gently to her. As Mei stepped closer, she listened in. “You are who you are, Miriam. God made you this way and He never makes mistakes.” Sean said. Miriam sighed. “I want to believe that, Sean, I do. But… doesn’t your faith say that being… gay is an abomination?” “Firstly, that stems from a mistranslation. Secondly, Catholicism calls for those of the LGBTQ+ Community to be treated the same as anyone. Now, it also says they can’t get married… but you’re not Catholic, so you don’t have to listen to that. Marriage, according to Catholicism, is the sacred union between man and woman, yadda, yadda… so, if you’re not Catholic, don’t have a Catholic marriage ceremony.” Miriam
Jacob Malcolm, codename Thunderstruck, winced as he rolled his shoulders on his way to his room after a rough two-on-two combat scenario alongside his friend Tucker Bogan, codename Lonestar. The two were up against their girlfriends, Katherine “Kitty” Pryde, codename Shadowcat, and Anna Marie Darkholme, codename Rogue. Jacob, who could absorb and redistribute electricity, knew he couldn't hit Kitty, who could phase through solid matter, so he instead focused on Rogue, who absorbed the memories and physical abilities of anyone she touched. She couldn't use her powers if she couldn't touch him. Tucker, meanwhile, was unique, even among mutants. He could fly, but his mutation included a real whopper of an ability. He could deflect certain mutant abilities on a physical level, but even he didn’t know the full extent of the limits. All he knew for sure was that mental mutant powers, such as telepaths, could still affect him. The boys managed to hold their own for a while, but the girls
It was a cloudy day in New York, and Professor Charles Xavier had retreated to his personal office for some alone time. As he pondered something from behind his desk, a round, green portal the size of a full-body mirror tore open just inside the doorway. The room’s temperature dropped to an eerie chill in an instant, and the door locked all on its own. Charles said nothing, but it was clear to him that he was dealing with something not of this world. Moments later, two skinny, caucasian teens stepped through the portal, one boy leading the other by the hand. The leader was dressed in black and white, regal attire of the finest quality Charles had ever seen. A white cape flowed down his back; its underside a window to the vast expanse of outer space. Above his head floated a black crown wreathed in eerie, green flames, and on his right hand was a green ring with a red skull on it. His hair was snowy white, his eyes were glowing green, and he was surrounded by a faint, white aura. The
Name: Austin Kavanagh Place of Birth: Dublin, Ireland Place of Origin: Amity Park, Minnesota Age: 15 Height: Slightly below average Build: Skinny Hair Color: Dirty Blond with reddish beard Eye Color: Blue Ethnicity: Caucasian Mutation: Able to control technology Codename: Thunderbolt Nickname: Ghost Boy Bio: Austin Kavanagh is a half ghost, half mutant with the power to control technology. His ghost form is a blessing and a curse, as he cannot use it and his mutant powers at the same time. A genius blond, he chose the moniker Thunderbolt as a reference to both electricity and the computer port of the same name. He is a gamer and a geek, more antisocial than shy, but secretly wants friends. Austin gained his ghost powers in an accident alongside his boyfriend, the High King of the Infinite Realms, Danny Phantom. Their relationship is problematic for the X-Men, as Danny is friends with the infamous mutate Wade Wilson AKA Deadpool, and the pair sometimes engage in interdimensional
It was a brand new day in Retroville, as our protagonist James Isaac Neutron was on his way to lunch. He was approached by his friend/love interest Cindy Vortex, quite urgently. "Hey Neutron, I need your help with something." Cindy said. "Science project? Math homework?" Jimmy asked. "Nothing academic. There's a new kid attending our school today, and I heard he’s part of the KAS group." Cindy said. "KAS? The Kids Against Suicide group?" Jimmy asked. "The very one. Principal Willoughby put you and me on watch for at least a couple weeks for him." Cindy said. "Where is he?" Jimmy asked. Cindy pointed towards a lunch table on the far side of the lunch room. There sat only on boy, alone and depressed. Jimmy and Cindy approached the boy. "Hi there. I heard you're the new kid. I'm Cindy Vortex." Cindy said. "Jimmy Neutron, nice to meet you." Jimmy said. The boy looked up, shyly. "H-Hi, I'm... David Milo." He said. The boy didn't seem very vocal. He seemed pretty
It was Halloween 2020, and it was a sad day for two boys. Noah Jagers and David Heath. Noah had never liked Halloween because his twin sister was stillborn on this day, and David felt bad because there was nothing he could do to comfort his brother. The boys had decided to keep their distance on this day as not to stir up conflicts. As David put some bread in his toaster on the morning of this day, he could swear he felt wind. In his house? How bizarre. Then he heard a voice. "David..." David turned and saw, what looked like a ghost before him. He eventually came to the conclusion that this was actually what's called an angel. He didn't immediately recognize this angel, what he could tell was that it appeared to be a young woman with emerald eyes and blonde hair. "Do I... um..." He stuttered. "No, not properly anyway. But I've heard many great things about you. Every year when Noah visits my resting place." She said. It finally clicked in David's head who this was. "E-Emily?" He
